Welcome to the original Dusmagrik Young People’s Theatre Company website.

Our next show will be “Old Time Music Hall” April 19th to 21st 2012 at the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston.

Dusmagrik Young People’s Theatre Company cordially invites you to join them for an evening of melodious merriment, mirth and terpsichorean delights – in other words song, laughter and dance!  Presided over by Chairman David Emmerson and accompanied by live music under the direction of John Stevens this fast paced show will entertain you with some of the best loved music of the era.

November 15th to 17th 2012 we will be presenting “Bugsy Malone”.

Set in New York in 1929, this slapstick musical comedy follows the  rivalry between two half-witted gangs and the washed up, well-intentioned, one-time boxer who steps in to take control of Fat Sam’s gang and give Dandy Dan and his boys what they’ve got coming.

In this show the message is one of good, clean fun; the characters are wonderful cartoon cutouts; and the weapons of choice are “splurge” guns, flour bombs, and custard pies.

Written by Alan Parker with words & music by Paul Williams the show will be directed by Mary Carter and accompanied by a live band under the direction of John Stephens.

Auditions for Bugsy will take place in the summer term.

New members are welcome.  Contact Mary Carter on 01603 716548  for details.
