Dusmagrik Young People’s Theatre Company performed a fundraising concert at St George’s Theatre Great Yarmouth, Money raised went towards travel expenses for the group to travel to Yarmouth’s twin town of Rambouillet in France, where they had been invited to perform as part of the Twinning Association’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

More than 20 young people aged from 11-16 will be going complete with about 80 costumes and various props.

The fundraising concert was on Sunday, May 1 at 3pm was a preview of the performance we took to France. Director Mary Carter said: “We have decided to do a selection of songs and dances which reflect Great Yarmouth as a seafaring port and seaside destination.

“It’s the first time many of the group will have been to France and they are looking forward to meeting young people in Rambouillet and trying out their French speaking.”
